What is the process working with Jeff?

Well ... that's a doozy to start with, isn't it!?

  1. You reach out with your script on our contact page or email Jeff@JeffCarterVO.com
  2. Include as much info as you can about project type, usage type, duration of usage or buyout, and if you have a fixed budget.
  3. You receive a quote back, usually within a few hours - if a custom audition is requested, please give a little longer.
  4. Once we agree, we move forward with creative direction, like tone and style, along with any specific length for the voiceover.
  5. If needed, we sign off on any agreements and/or contracts (which may add a little additional time for review).
  6. Jeff gets in the booth ... records, edits and delivers the file.
  7. You take a listen, smile in amazement, and sign off on the audio (or, ya know... request revisions, if needed).
  8. We send the invoice.
  9. You pay the invoice.
  10. We high five!
Is Jeff available for in-studio sessions?

Jeff LOVES the opportunity to jump in your booth and see you through the glass. In Florida, Massachusetts, and Las Vegas NV Jeff can usually schedule a studio session within a day or so. For travel-based sessions, please inquire about scheduling and travel requirements.

What are your rates?

It's kind of like asking a parent of 5 "what's your favorite kid?" Although we like to use the GVAA rate card as a reference, we don't use it as gospel. We understand that with each project being a unique beast, sometimes budgets need to be flexible. If you reach out with your project, please include what type of budget you have, and we will always do our best to accommodate, within reason.

What is your turnaround time?

We take pride in offering extremely fast turnaround time, as we understand your deadline has no room for delays and will meet or beat any agreed upon delivery time. Typically, short projects will be delivered within 24 hours. Longer duration projects are usually completed within 72 hours. If you're in a rush ... reach out! We will do our best to push your project into the booth for rush delivery.

What is your revision policy?

Obviously, any mistakes will be revised at no cost. For performance revisions on undirected sessions, one round of style revisions will be included in the cost. For script changes, typically minor revisions (5 words of less), there is a $25 fee for time. Up to 15 words incurs a $50 fee for time. Anything over that is a rerecord at 35% of the original fee.

Do you offer directed sessions?

Directed sessions are always welcome. We can connect via phone patch, Skype, Zoom, Google Teams, etc - Source Connect and ISDN are also options, depending on availability.

Do you produce any audio as well?

Indeed, we do! In addition to voiceovers, Jeff was the Director of Production for CBS Radio as well as writing and producing thousands of commercials ... many of which were award winning campaigns. Inquire about production by sending us a message.

Can you do an audition to see how you'd sound on my projects?

ABSOLUTELY!! You can always request a free custom audition and we can usually turn those around same day.

What do you do when you're not in the booth?

Jeff is an avid traveler, having been on tour hosting TV shows and live events nationwide - averaging 250 days a year on the road. If you ever need interesting travel tips or suggestions ... definitely reach out! Additionally, Jeff loves hitting the links and plays golf whenever possible. In the evenings, he frequents new and adventurous dining establishments - along with wine excursions (as a studied wine professional!).

How is it that Jeff is so awesome?

We have done studies, and they all come back inconclusive ... so we just live with the fact he is, indeed, just downright badassedly awesome. But thanks for noticing.
